Departure from Japan - Fox,Slunk,Raccoon -

 When taking a raccoon, fox or skunk abroad, the animal must meet both the exit conditions for Japan and the entry conditions for the country to which you are traveling.

 

Conditions for leaving Japan

In order to leave Japan, animals must undergo inspection for rabies at the Animal Quarantine Station. This is part of the quarantine (quarantine period of within 12 hours). As it is a clinical health check, it should not take that long provided that no abnormalities are discovered. Nevertheless, it is recommended that you contact the Animal Quarantine Station in advance.
The inspection can also be taken at your nearest Animal Quarantine Station. If there is not our office near you, or if you are leaving from an airport or seaport with no Animal Quarantine Station or animal quarantine officer stationed, please contact before traveling.

Please check the conditions for entering the country you are traveling to in advance with that country’s embassy or quarantine authorities.



 

On completion of the exit quarantine, an Export Quarantine Certificate will be produced (in English)
