Tokyo is the capital city of Japan which has a population of about 13 million, one of the world’s most eminent big cities. Tokyo is the center of Japan in various fields such as politics, economy and culture, and also, the place of dispatch of information. The total area of Tokyo is 2,187 square kilometers, only 0.6 percent of the entire country.

Japan standard time is 9 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT + 9)


  The official language in Japan is Japanese, but some people also speak English to a certain extent.


The weather of Tokyo in November is typically sunny and cool with light winds. Average temperature ranges from 10 ºC to 20 ºC (50 F to 68 F).

Currency Exchange

The Japanese currency unit is the “yen”. Currency can be exchanged at the airports, hotels and banks. Automatic teller machines may be found in the airport terminals and most hotels. Major credit cards will be accepted at hotels, large shopping stores and restaurants.


Smoking is not allowed in public places, even on the road, except for designated smoking areas.
