This is to notify that MAFF will commence to establish following items regarding the Law for Ensuring the Safety of Pet Food. Those who are interested in this issue may provide questions and/or comments to the Animal Products Safety Division, Food Safety and Consumer Affairs Bureau of MAFF, no later than October 3rd, 2008.
1. Content
a. Details for notification of manufacturers and importers stipulated in the Article 9 of the Law for Ensuring the Safety of Pet Food (Law No,83 in 2008).
b. Details for items that shall be recorded on books, which is stipulated in the Article 10 of the said law.
2. Presentation method of the draft
Draft will be presented in the procedure of public comment.
3. Method to establish public hearing
Comment will be heard in the procedure of public comment.
