Nango Tomato is a tomato harvested during summer-autumn, and the quality is high and stable. Therefore, the average price of Nango Tomato is about 10% higher than that of tomato produced in Fukushima Prefecture.

The production area has cool climate and wide temperature gap between day and night, which is suitable for the production of tomato harvested in summer-autumn. The quality of Nango Tomato has become stable and high due to the continuous efforts made by the production area such as establishing rain protected cultivation, collective tomato selecting system, and the precooling facility using snow. The production area has been producing more than 2,000 tons of Nango Tomato annually for over 40 years.
