Brief Summary of the 6th meeting of Earthquake Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters of Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (March 12th)
1. The Secure Status of the Major Emergency Food
- Rice balls, Boxed Lunch etc ( approximately 109 million meals per day) Currently arranging a million meals delivery
- Water ( 323 million liters per day)
- Bread ( 26 million were already delivered/ are in enroute)
- Instant Noodles ( delivering 10 million meals out of secured 37 million meals)
2. Fisheries Matters
- Ordered 9 fisheries enforcement vessels in all over Japan to head to the Tohoku offshore area in order to rescue, and to grasp the damage
- One fisheries inspection vessel anchoring Ariake pier currently stands by for the relief supplies transportation
3. Forestry Matters
- Investigating via helicopters at Tohoku Regional Forest Office, Kanto Regional Forest Office and Chubu Regional Forest Office
- Occurring wildfire in Tarou-cho, Iwate Prefecture etc ( reported that it is low risk of fire spread). Found collapsed embankments along the forestry road in Hanawa-chou in Fukushima Prefecture, Daigo-chou in Ibaraki Prefecture
