Brief Summary of the 8th Earthquake Disaster Countermeasures Head Quarters Meeting of Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries'

 1. Measure of emergency food transit

     ・The new supply method to provide foods to isolated residents in stricken area, is under consideration.

 2. About fishery

     ・MAFF requested National Federation of Fisheries Co-operative Associations to provide heavy fuel oil type A for fishery to the hospital from Sakata oil terminal in Yamagata prefecture.

 3. About production

     ・National Livestock Breeding Center offered Saigou village in Fukushima prefecture  its training office as a shelter for the local victims.
     ・MAFF directed  Mixed Feed Stable Supply Organization to  release quickly its stock grain to mixed feed makers which need feed materials.

 4. About forestry

      MAFF requested related organizations to establish supply system of charcoals and briquettes etc.
      At present, 185t charcoals and 300 ranges can be provided if stricken prefectures request them.
