   2 Other information

   (1) 37 private companies offered food 2,430 thousands meals, drinking water 300 thousands bottles, 8 kitchen cars.

      The Andersen group(Hiroshima Prefecture) offered 30 thousands sweet buns and confectioneries per day on March 14, responding to the request of the government.(56 thousands confectioneries have been carried outfor Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture on March 14.)

      (Other than this offer, a lot of companiesare voluntarily offering assistance.)

 

   (2) Food can be prepared

      Instant noodles: 1,180 thousands meals (5 companies)

      Mochi:2,620 thousands packs
      Prepared food:6 thousands packs
      Milled rice: 2,140 – 2,270 ton (1.4 – 1.5 million meals, 13 companies)

2 About production

 

   1. Issue of the emergency transit car passes for trucks loading livestock feed or others.

      Responding to the request by MAFF, National Police Agency directed police headquarters in each prefecture to issue emergency transit car passes for trucks loading livestock feed which is indispensable for keeping lives of livestock on Mar 15th, 2011. With regard to this request, MAFF notified it related association.(The notification announced by Director of Livestock Production and Feed Division on March 16)
 

   2. Issue of notice of technical guidance

      MAFF issued the notice of technical guidance with regard to the method of feeding which correspond to the shortage of compound feeds, windless animal house barns with power failure and temperature control for horticultural facilities.(The notice by Director-General of Agricultural Production Bureau on Mar 15th,2011) . MAFF implemented prolonfation of livestock lives and maintenance of agricultural production. 
 

   3. Securing supply of heavy fuel oil type A for use of agriculture

      MAFF issued the notice of request for regional coordination, with understanding the situation for excess or deficiency of supply of heavy fuel oil type A for use of agriculture in the Tohoku and surrounding area toward The National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations (ZEN-NOH) (The notice by Counselor,Minister’s Secretariat on Mar 16th, 2011).  MAFF promoted to secure the supply of heavy fuel oil type A for use of agriculture.
