The Effect of the Accident of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and Actions taken by Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries – Handling Fresh Foods after the Accident (Reminder) (March26)

After the accident of Tokyo Electric Power Company’s Fukushima Nuclear Power Station, MAFF requested related organizations to handle properiy fresh foods and so on based on scientific and objective ground on March 22.

However, fresh foods distribution has been still confusing even after the request.

For example, the fresh foods other than restrained items are rejected to buy at some wholesale markets, if the foods were produced at the restrained prefectures.

Therefore, on March 25, MAFF requested once again to related organizations to inform their member companies about this handling.
