Results of inspections on radioactivity levels in Livestock products

In relation to the accident occurred at the nuclear plant in Fukushima Prefecture, relevant prefectural governments have implemented inspections on radioactive materials in food, including livestock products.

"The distribution of raw milk produced in Fukushima and Ibaraki Prefectures exceeding the provisional regulation value were restricted. However, since the safety of raw milk was comfirmed, the restrictions were cancelled in whole area of Ibaraki and some areas of Fukushima. Hence, raw milk exceeding the provisional regulation value will not be distributed in the domestic market nor will it be shipped for export. In addition, no samples of raw milk, including those from the restricted area, detected over the levels set by the Government of Japan and/or Codex after March 23, as of July 1.

Radioactivity over the standards by GOJ is not detected from any samples from meat and hen eggs as of 1 July, 2011.
