Biomass

Utilizing biomass as a product or energy source helps solve Japan’s issues, which include revitalizing rural areas, preventing global warming, establishing a Sound Material-Cycle Society and accelerating efforts to promote utilization of the same as stand-out areas.

The relevant ministries and governmental agencies, including the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (the Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Ministry of the Environment) are collaborating and we have been promoting the utilization of biomass through measures such as selecting and supporting Biomass Industrialized Areas.
