Tajima Beef is obtained from Tajima Ushi (cattle), which has been improved over the years in the mountainous areas of Tajima region located in the Northern Hyogo Prefecture. The carcass is highly graded and the beef is very tender.Link with the Production Area
Tajima Ushi is originated from the draft cattle used for farming in the mountainous area of Tajima region over 1200 years ago. The draft cattle was recognized to have a good lineage for beef during the Meiji Period. Since then, Tajima Ushi has been improved and selected over the years. Tajima Beef has been crossbred by using improved sires of Tajima Ushi owned by Hyogo Prefecture and cows of Tajima Ushi.All the production process are taken place in Hyogo Prefecture.Contact
