State Minister Suzuki holds talk with Mr. Maksym Kobzystyi of Ukraine's Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food

State Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Suzuki held talks with Mr. Maksym Kobzystyi, Head of the Directorate of Agricultural Infrastructure, Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on December 19, 2023.

2. Overview

During the talks, the Ukrainian representatives expressed their deep gratitude for Japan's past assistance, such
as the establishment of the Joint Task Force, and expressed high expectations for the introduction of Japan's
cutting-edge agricultural technology, such as agricultural machinery.

Based on Mr. Kobzystyi's explanation of the current status of agriculture in various regions of Ukraine, both sides
discussed the reconstruction of Ukrainian agriculture and reaffirmed their commitment to continue discussions on
support for the revitalization of Ukrainian agriculture and to match with Japanese companies under the framework
of the Japan-Ukraine Joint Task Force on Revitalization Strategy of Agriculture (JTF).
