What is the International Horticultural Expo?
An International Horticultural Exposition is an international exhibition held with the aims of promoting global horticultural culture, fostering lifestyles enriched with flowers and greenery, and contributing to regional and economic development, as well as to the resolution of social challenges.
International horticultural exhibitions are approved by the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH; Headquarters: Oxfordshire, United Kingdom). Among these, exhibitions classified as the highest category (A1) must also be accredited by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), which was established under the Convention Relating to International Exhibitions.
International Horticultural Expo 2027 (GREEN×EXPO 2027)
This will mark the first time in 37 years that Japan hosts the highest category (A1) international horticultural exposition, following the International Garden and Greenery Exposition held in Osaka, Japan, in 1990 (EXPO’90).
