72 Seasons

This is the time when the cherry blossom front moves steadily northward, and all over Japan, people wait expectantly for the first blossoms to appear. Everyone's mood is united by this collective anticipation of the first open blossom, and the archipelago becomes caught up in a strange but wonderful sense of elation. Plans for flower-viewing picnics come together, and there is nothing left to do but pray for good weather.
