Osezushi | Our Regional Cuisines

RECIPE

Ingredients (for 4 people)

  • Rice 800g
  • Grilled mackerel 80g
  • [A]Vinegar 40ml
  • [A]sugar 1 tablespoon
  • [A]salt 1 teaspoon

How to cook

  • 1. Make the mixed vinegar with [A] and pour 1 tablespoon of it over the grilled mackerel. Mix the rest with the rice to make sushi rice.

  • 2. Put half the amount of sushi rice in the mold and flatten it. Sprinkle the mackerel flakes on top, top with more sushi rice, and finally, top with a sheet of nori.

  • 3. Place a lid on top, followed by a weight, and let it sit overnight.

  • 4. Remove from the mold, cut into the desired size, and serve on a plate.
