RECIPE
Ingredients (30 pieces)
- Rice flour 600g
- Wheat flour 60g
- Boiling water 500g
- Magnolia leaves 30
- Igusa (Japanese lintel) 30
- [Red bean paste] Red beans 1kg
- [Red bean paste] Sugar 1kg
- [Red bean paste] Salt A little
How to cook

1. Soften and mash azuki beans, add sugar and salt to make bean jam.

2. Combine the flour, add boiling water, and knead to the consistency of earlobes. (It is hot, so use chopsticks at first to dissolve the dough.)

3. Steam 2 in a steamer for 15 to 20 minutes.

4. Knead 3 well again. (100 to 200 times).

5. Divide 4 into pieces of about 40g each and roll them out. Roll out the dough and wrap the filling in the dough.

6. Place 5 on a magnolia leaf, fold the leaf over the rice cake, wrap the rice cake in the leaf, and tie it with an igusa (Japanese lintel). Steam in a steamer for about 10 minutes.
