Hirayachi (Vegetable Pancake) | Our Regional Cuisines
RECIPE
Ingredients (18cm, for 4 frying pans)
- Wheat flour 1 cup
- Egg 1
- Water or Dashi (=Japanese soup stock) Just under 1 cup
- Salt A little
- Chinese chive As needed
- Vegetable Oil A little
How to cook

1. Beat the egg in a bowl and mix in the sifted wheat flour.

2. Add salt to 1, add water or Dash (=Japanese soup sick) a little at a time, mix to prevent lumps, and then add chopped Chinese chives.

3. Heat the frying pan, coat it with a little oil, and pour the batter from step 2 to spread thinly.

4. When the surface is dry, flip over and bake.
Various items can be added, such as Kamaboko (=fish cake), Mozuku seaweed, etc.
