RECIPE
Ingredients (10 servings)
- Bar-style Kanten (=agar-agar) 8g (1)
- Water 5 - 5 1/2 cups
- White sugar 230g
- Koshi-an (=Mashed red bean paste) 150g
- Salt A little
How to cook

1. Rinse kanten well with water, then tear and dehydrate it.

2. Sqeeze 1 well, then heat with water to dissolve.

3. Once kanten was completely dissolved, add white sugar and simmer a while. Then, add "koshi-an" and a little of salt. (Dissolve "koshi-an" with dissolved "kanten" and add "koshi-an" little by little. Don’t add "koshi-an" at once.)

4. Boil 3 lightly then stop heating. After cool it down a bit, pour into a wet cooking tray, then cool to set.
