Plant Quarantine Conditions Required by Destination Countries
We quarantine plants to be exported from Japan in response to requests from export counterparts.
Other countries also conduct plant quarantines. When anyone intends to export plants from Japan, it is required to export those that satisfy conditions for plant quarantines called on by export counterparts.
The following are some of conditions for plant quarantines put in place in other countries.
- Plants that are prohibited.(輸入を禁止するもの)
- Plants that an export counterpart approves the import by means of an import permit.
- Plants that are permitted to import, if they are inspected at a plant quarantine organization by an exporting country and phytosanitary certificates are attached.
- Plants that need to be disinfected by an exporting country.
