Onigiri (Rice Balls)
Ingredients for 1 serving
Steam Rice - 100g
Salmon Fish - 25g
Umeboshi (Salt Pickled Plums) - 1nos
Okaka (Bonito Flakes) *Please see how to make it below. - 10g
Nori Sheet (Seaweed) - 1pcs
Salt - a pinch
Takuan (Yellow Pickled Radish) - 10g
Okaka incredients
Sugar - 1tbsp
Soy Sauce - 2tbsp
Japanese Sweet Sauce - 1tbsp
Bonito Flakes - 20g
Sesame Seeds - 1tbsp
How to make it
- Make the fish grilled and cut very small pieces.
- Take the seeds out of umeboshi and cut small pieces.
- Make hot in pan sugar, soy sauce, Japanese sweet sauce and add bonito flakes,
sesame seeds then mix well. - Keep half rice in person’s palms then place salmon fish, umeboshi and okaka.
Put rice more and shape rice into a circle with one’s palms. - And roll in nori sheet.
- Serve onigiri with takuan putting soy sauce aside.
