If you take your pet rabbit with you from Japan to a foreign country, it will be necessary to satisfy the requirements both for departure from Japan and for entry into the destination country.
The exporter should contact the Animal Quarantine Service and submit the application(EXCEL : 74KB) for export quarantine by E-mail, etc. for inspection appointment at least 10 days before the start of quarantine. (Note: There are some cases that exporter should contact Animal Quarantine Service earlier depending on entering conditions of the country where the rabbits are traveling.)

Contact the embassy（External Link） or quarantine authorities of the destination country and confirm the requirements for entry in advance.
Requirements for departure from Japan
In order to be able to depart from Japan with a rabbit, it will have to undergo a 1 day(practically 3 days and 2 nights) quarantine inspection in detention at an Animal Quarantine Service.
If the destination country has requirements for entry, you will be issued an export quarantine certificate in English when the quarantine inspection in detention for departure has been completed.
