The NVAL , along with the National Institute of Animal Health (NIAH) became the OIE Collaborating Center for “Diagnosis and Control of Animal Diseases and Related Veterinary Product Assessment in Asia” in May 2010. Presently, the NVAL is  only designated center for the veterinary drugs in the OIE’s Asia-Pacific region.

3 Roles as the OIE Collaborating Center

As an OIE Collaborating Center, the NVAL provides workshops and short-term training seminars for the purpose of improving the regulatory capacity of veterinary medicinal products (VMPs) in Asia-Pacific region. Also, the NVAL dispatches lecturers to conferences on animal pharmaceutical affairs. The NVAL will continue to make efforts for strengthening the cooperation with Asia-Pacific countries through seminars and workshops and act aggressively to solve the problems of VMPs in the region.
